Ajahn Brahm at Hua Hin, June 21

Ajahn Brahm should need no introduction, and he has proved popular in many countries including Bangkok. It is appreciated that he stops here to lead some dhamma events in English.

Background

Born in London in 1951, Ajahn Brahm (Phra Visutisangvornthera) was educated in Theoretical Physics at

Cambridge University. After completing his degree he traveled to Thailand to become a monk, trained in a Thai

forest tradition by renowed Ajahn Chah of Wat Nongpapong, Ubon Rachathani. In 1983 he was invited to

Australia to set up the Bodhinyana Monastery in Serpentine.

Ajahn Brahm true-to-life story telling style of speech is thoughtful, funny and enlightening. These tales are told

with wit and wisdom, which reveal the quality of devotion, humility and diligence. He has taught the timeless

Buddhist philosophy around the world to all walks of life, inspired millions by his teaching, conduct and practice.
