Weekly Puja
Puja and freestyle meditation
every Thursday evening at Ariyasom Villa
6:30-8:00pm on Sukhumvit Soi 1
It is not easy to develop a meditation practise. For those who have a meditation practise already – you know it is difficult to keep up alone. This is the great benefit of coming to a group meditation, and sealing your commitment and dedication to maintaining a sitting meditation discipline. In all Indian based traditions of yoga, meditation and enlightenment, we call this PUJA
Beginners are also welcome too, and it’s fine to just observe or join in to whatever level you like.
We usually have a good crowd of 30+ – from all kinds of traditions and with lots of experience in different kinds of meditation.
Thursdays. Free of charge
- 6:00 pm Library at Ariyasom Villa opens – if you’d like some meditation instructions come along at this time.
- 6:30 pm gather in the Library at Ariyasom for refreshments
- 6:50 pm move up to the meditation hall
- 7:00 short PUJA and meditation
- 7:50 finish (we always finish before 8:00pm)

Ariyasom Villa
Ariyasom is Trip Advisor’s top rated boutique hotel in Bangkok.
It is a real oasis in the middle of the city – situated alongside the canal, and beautifully designed (the owner is a graduate in Landscape design from Harvard!). They have a really great vegetarian restaurant for Thai and International cuisine. Including some serious home made desserts (got to earn your calorie credits first by walking there!).
You wan walk easily from Nana, or Phloen Chit BTS Station.
From Ploen Chit, walk to Sukhumvit Soi 1 and then along the soi to the end. You can also take a motorcycle from the end of Soi 1. Takes about 8 minutes walking.
Sessions are usually led by Pandit Bhikkhu – an ordained Buddhist monk since 1996
