Beer and Meditation

No – this is not an admonishment … a note on the excellent online magazine Tree Hugger which is running a story on a Buddhist temple in Thailand that is made from Beer bottles.

One wonders if the bottles are actually cheaper than bricks or not ?

Also, in these days of financial crisis people do blame monks for building temples as money is short – but such projects as this show that people are spending far more on beer than they are in building materials for temples. The light cast inside the buildings must be quite erie ….
