About the Topic:

To keep a meditation going steadily, you really need to join with other meditators from time to time, or go to monasteries. To keep it up just on your own is not easy, in the long run. That’s why experienced yogis always look for Sangha – a supportive community to sit with occasionally.

We have a weekly meditation, but the tips and guides are usually geared towards beginners. For these 3 sessions, we’ll assume you have some experience with meditaiton, and familiarity with Buddhist ideas. Still, there is no test to see if you are ‘experienced’ or not – all are welcome to join.

‘Cosmos on Parade’ refers to the three ‘characteristics of all things’, viz: Impermanence, suffering and non-self. Whie philosophers and scholars try to make sense of these qualities as things relating to the world, that is not their original context. For the 3 weeks in turn, we’ll look directly at how these ideas relate specifically to meditation.

Sessions are led by Pandit Bhikkhu, who is likely familiar to anyone joining our events in the past. Biography is here
