Concentration practice is the foundation for deep meditation, where the body is steady and comfortable, and the mind is relaxed and alert. The Yogic Pranayama practice is similar to the Buddhist Anapanasati practice (mindfulness of breathing), and both are preparatory steps for concentration. Yogic Pranayama is the gaining, storing and directing of vital energy (Prana) for the body and the mind, utilizing yogic breathing, visualization and mudra techniques.
You are invited to join us on Monday 27 May 2024 at Baan Aree, the beautiful location so generously made available to us by the Baan Aree foundation, where yoga and meditation teacher Prema (Jo Yee Yung Fung) will be leading the session starting at 6.30 PM.
Everyone is welcome, from beginners to experienced meditators. We meet to support and encourage each other in our practice.
Baan Aree is a Thai Buddhist Center, please wear something that is comfortable to sit in, and avoid tight-fitting clothes, shorts, sleeveless tops, and short skirts.
There is no charge for this event. However, the Little Bangkok Sangha follows the Buddhist custom of Dana (generosity). The teachings and the venue are offered as an act of generosity, and those receiving them can, if they wish, reciprocate by making donations. These go towards the teacher’s and venue’s costs. Boxes for Dana will be provided.

With the proper intentions and awareness, everyday breathing could become a simple concentration tool that soothes the mind and enhances mental clarity. With even slight adjustments to the way we breathe, we could rejuvenate organ functions, improve athletic performance and boost overall energy.
