Lots of Youtubes, and texts to report on the recent Sakyadhita conference in Thailand. This event was aimed at Buddhist women globally, and was a big success.
Many thanks for making the 12th Sakyadhita Conference a success!
12th Sakyadhita International Conference
on Buddhist Women
Bangkok, Thailand, June 12-18
The 12th Sakyadhita Conference in Thailand was a great success! Over 1600 participants from more than 32 countries from Finland to New Zealand, Russia to Japan, Israel to Indonesia, shared ideas and experiences with Thai laywomen and nuns for a jubilant week in Bangkok.
Thanks to Sathira Dhammasathan
Many thanks go to our hosts at Sathira Dhammasathan, our kind donors, and over 600 speakers, workshop facilitators, and volunteers. The serene atmosphere of this lovely forest monastery in the heart of Bangkok made it an ideal locale for this joyous Dharma festival.
Thanks to Panel Speakers, Workshop Presenters & Translators
We learned from more than 60 engaging speakers and more than 50 interactive workshops! To include everyone, simultaneous translation into Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and Vietnamese was provided throughout the conference, with additional sessions in Hindi, Mongolian, and Tibetan.
Hearts Full of Love and Wisdom
Whether meditating, sharing meals, or making new friends, the most striking impression was many hearts full of love and wisdom.
Dear Sakyadhita Organizers and Volunteers,
We want to express our gratitude to all of you for welcoming and caring for us with so much grace and generosity. We are very moved by your effort and concern–down to the fine details fulfilled with sensitivity and beauty. It was a wonderful experience from which we draw inspiration!
The 12th Sakyadhita Conference was great. The panel discussions were inspiring particularly about challenges faced by the Sakyadhita in various spheres of life. The meditation session in the morning was just great as I felt the calm energy among us. I also attended the workshops and particularly loved the one where we could form feelings.
The 12th Conference on Buddhist Women was wonderful! This conference venue was a paradise.
Thank you so much for allowing me to volunteer for this year’s Sakyadhita conference! It was an invaluable experience. I met so many wonderful people and encountered so many fascinating ideas. I am also honored to have helped Sakyadhita’s cause, however small a contribution, and to have been able to work with you; what you have done for women around the world (and what you are doing!) is truy amazing and I admire how much you’ve made a difference.
Planning has already begun for the 13th Sakyadhita Conference. Watch for details coming very soon. Until then, take a look at these videos from the conference:
