The Four Thoughts that Turn the Mind to the Dharma

The Little Bangkok Sangha is inviting you to a Zoom meeting on
Tuesday 15 November, 2022 from 6:30 – 08:00 PM Bangkok time.

Speaker: Lama Zangmo

Lama Gelongma Zangmo is the resident lama and teacher at Samye Dzong London. Lama Zangmo first became a practicing Buddhist when she arrived from Denmark at Kagyu Samye Ling in 1977 and took refuge with His Holiness the 16 th Karmapa. She entered a four year retreat in 1984 and became ordained as a nun.

After further long retreats, Lama Zangmo became resident teacher to other women retreatants, bringing the total number of years spent in retreat to eleven and a half. Choje Akong Tulku Rinpoche and Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche asked Lama Zangmo to run Kagyu Samye Dzong London when it opened in 1998.

Lama Zangmo’s strong connection with the Kagyu lineage and in particular with Chöje Akong Tulku Rinpoche and Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche has inspired her to work tirelessly in service to the Dharma and helping others. In recognition of her long experience and commitment, she became the first person in the UK to be honoured with the title of Lama at a ceremony in Kagyu Samye Dzong London in June 2001.
