Overview:
Dharma talk and meditation with visiting American Bhikkhuni ordained in the Tibetan lineage.

(or come earlier if you want to chat) - 7:20pm dharma talk begins

- 8:30pm finish (promptly).
Those who wish to stay afterwards for informal chat are welcome.
There is no need to book, and there is no charge for this event. Donations will go to the visiting teachers travelling expenses.

About the Topic:
Training the Mind for Happiness using difficulties as the path: A description of a form of Meditation in the Mahayana tradition which directly works with our difficult emotions and life circumstances.

About the Speaker
Ani Pema (Karen Schaefer) ordained in Tibetan Buddhist Tradition in Bhutan in 2001. She trained extensively with her teachers in India, Bhutan and Australia. Prior to ordination as a Buddhist nun she lived in India for 12 years with a meditation master who ordained her as a swami trained her thoroughly in traditional yoga, Sanskrit, Indian Philosophies and meditation. He sent her to run his meditation center in Sydney.
She later ordained as a bhikkshuni in the Chinese tradition in Taiwan. She has been living and practicing meditation in Thailand for the past three years in a Thai meditation monastery in Loei province.

‘APARTMENTS’ Little Bangkok Meditation Centre is a 4 minute walk from Ekkamai BTS Station.
Enter Ekkamai (Sukhumvit Soi 63). Turn left into the second soi (lane). Bourbon street restaurant is on the corner. We’re the third building on the right, in the ‘APARTMENTS’ building. Go up to the top floor.
