——————-**——————

Many of you will know Ajahn Wimaok already. He is a Thai monk, and a genuine meditator. And he is a fun and warm speaker too!Ariyasom Dhamma Hall

The event will be held in the ever beautiful Ariyasom Villa, at the end of Sukhumvit Soi 1. (directions below)

Time: 5pm – 7pm (we’ll be doing more meditation afterwards if you stay longer)

     — [note, please check back closer to the date for the exact time of this event]

Free of charge. Refreshments will be available.

Come before and after time to hang out and chat with Phra Pandit and some of the other regulars.

Here is a summary of the topic as relating to a direct meditation method:

          STEPS                           MEDITATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Awaken Consciousness

Open eye, recollect the king of death following you. This will raise up consciousness immediately. When you can sense consciousness wrapping around body, close the eyes

2. Maintain Consciousness

Smiling and Quiet supports natural awareness, knowing in the calmness of your consciousness as more consciousness expands. Be Happy knowing what you are doing. If lost in thoughts, go back to step (1)

3. Know the knower and stay

You know how you are sitting, you know how your hands are placed, in consciousness you know hot or cold, know thoughts (not thinking), not doing, just stay in        the consciousness. Keep smiling and quiet.

4. Consciousness deepens

continue stay with the knowing mind, know when thoughts are far or and infuses with Happiness near but do not follow them, any doing will disrupt the consciousness,   knowing your breathing to understand the quality of consciousness.

5. Just Know

Just see, just hear, etc. No doing, just be – not want to be. Soft attention, not focused. See and know in your consciousness, stay in the knowing.  Awake and empty of thoughts. Happiness of freedom (not craving)

6. Emptiness

Stay in the pure consciousness. See things as they are – Impermanence, Unsatisfactoriness, Non self. Perfectly awake and equanimous.

7. After Meditation

Carry the consciousness throughout your daily activities. Stay with Quiet, Smiling and Happy. When see, hear, etc stay with consciousness (full awareness (no thinking).
