The following announcement comes from the Thousand stars foundation Bkk, which arranges verious events relating to the study and practise of Tibetan Buddhism:
The Thousand Stars Foundation is pleased to announce our new regular program on “Full Moon Retreats”
at Khadiravana Center, the Foundation’s Tibetan retreat center in Hua-Hin.
The purposes of the retreats are to create positive energy for the construction of the Tara Great Stupa for
Peace and Harmony, and to give interested persons a chance to meditate in a peaceful atmosphere while
appreciating the beauty of nature. Full moon is considered most sacred day among Buddhists of various
traditions. For the Tibetans, merit accumulated that day is multiplied. We intend to carry on the practice for
a long time to come and make it one of the most important events in the foundation’s history.
The time for the retreat is in the evening. As we live near the mountains, it is cooler at night. There are no
registration fees, but donations, any kind of support and volunteer work are welcome.
Here are the dates for the retreats from June to September. The third retreat, however, will be conducted at
a sacred lake in Tibet.
