Buddhist Training Project

Background

               As Buddhist foreigners in Thailand, an understanding of Thai culture, Thai way of life, and Buddhist morality will be helpful for living peacefully and happily both in Thailand and elsewhere. The World Buddhist University Centre with the support of  the Office of National Buddhism of Thailand intends to encourage all foreigners, especially Buddhists, in Thailand to practice according to the Buddha’s teachings in order to discover themselves, to live with loving kindness and compassion, and to attain internal peace.

Objectives

  1. To train all participants to penetrate into the profound teachings of the Buddha.
  2. To encourage all participants to attain internal peace and external peace in Thai social contexts.
  3. To promote Buddhist education and practice accordingly in order to live for the best of oneself and others.

Procedure and Methods

  1. Lecture and workshops.
  2. All trainees will be provided with certificates at the end of the course.

Target Group      30 Buddhist foreigners in Thailand

Expected Benefits    

  1. All participants will gain a profound knowledge of the Buddha’s teachings.
  2. All participants will attain internal peace and external peace.
  3. All participants will be able to live for the best of themselves and others through Buddhist Knowledge and practices.

               The World Buddhist University Centre is on the 3 Floor of the Headquarters

 Building of the World Fellowship of Buddhists, 616 Benjasiri Park, Soi Sukumvit 24  Sukumvit Road, Klongteoy, Bangkok 10110 3 days course, from 12-14 February 2010 Time 09.00 am. – 16.00 pm.
