“The Fish with No Name” and Other Stories—a Dharma Talk by a Zen Priest

Zen priest Konin Melissa Cardenas will be our special guest for our June Zen Club meeting.
She was ordained in Japan by Sekkei Harada Roshi, and received dharma transmission at San Francisco Zen Center, in the lineage of Shunryu Suzuki (Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind).  She is currently the guiding teacher at the Empty Hand Zen Center in New York. A Latina of Colombian descent, Konin also has an MBA and worked in finance for many years.

In her talk, she will discuss how Zen practice requires that we engage and collaborate with the world.  Konin brings warmth and humor to her talks. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.  This will be her first visit to Thailand, so it should be a very special event.

‘APARTMENTS’ Meditation Centre

The center is a 4 minute walk from Ekkamai BTS Station.

We are 9/37 Thana Aket, Ekkamai Sukhumvit 63.

Enter Ekkamai (Sukhumvit Soi 63). Turn left into the second soi (lane). Bourbon street restaurant is on the corner. We’re the third building on the right, in the ‘APARTMENTS‘ building. Go up to the top floor. See the excellent map – it is very precise!little-bangkok-meditation-center-ekkamai
