Grahame will be leading a short course in Vipassana – Insight meditation for us over four evenings. He’s always good fun to be around – there’s never a boring night with Grahame!

Over the four evenings he’ll be taking us through the different layers of meditation practise from getting started, to being a real yogi who has an established working meditation practise. Each evening is a different topic, so you are welcome to join when you can – but of course, it’s much better to come alone for all four evenings – it is not often we get chance to do something like this.

  • Monday 30th Sept.
Vipassana – What actually are the ‘insights’ gained from Insight Meditation?
  • Tuesday 1st Oct.
Surfing the Hindrances – getting acquainted with what drives this wayward mind wayward
  • Wednesday 2nd
In Charge of Your Emotions – usually emotions charge at you, but now you can be in charge of them!
  • Thursday 3rd
On and Off the Cushion – finding ways to cultivate the balance of meditation in daily life expereince

Grahame-small-graphicGrahame got involved in Dharma in the early 1970s, and got hooked. He was even a monk for a while in Bodh Gaya – the place of the Buddha’s own enlightenment. He’s been involved with dhamma ever since, especially in Burma in the rigorous Mahasi Sayadaw tradition.

He is one of the key teachers in Vipassana Hawaii together with Steven Smith and Michele McDonald (both of whom we have hosted in Bangkok) where he still goes several times a year. He has that down-to-earth Australian quality, and his meetings are always as fun as they are informative. Full bio and an interview with him can be found here on the websitefrom where he is running his current courses in Australia.
